I would like to congratulate Darren and the team for another year of amazing work.
It is truly remarkable to have reached out to over 4,000 children this year and I would also like to add my special thanks to all the amazing volunteers that are involved as well.
I never get tired of seeing so many children enjoying their time here at Belvoir on the Trust’s projects.
To keep raising the profile of the Trust it was lovely to welcome the MCC back to Belvoir after a break for Covid, and in particular it was lovely to have Stephen Fry, the MCC President, to stay in the Castle. He is great fun and confided that his favourite ever role is indeed in ‘Blackadder’ of course.
We were also delighted to welcome the Australian touring Victor Trumper XI this year, in what was a very special year for Ashes cricket and I was pleased that my team were able to beat them. Keep up the good work.
