Duchess of Rutland XI

The purpose of the Duchess of Rutland XI cricket team is to build profile and raise funds for the Belvoir Cricket & Countryside Trust.

In recent times the Duchess XI have hosted:

  • Sir Tim Rice’s Heartaches XI
  • The Sir Donald Bradman Foundation
  • Overseas teams from South Africa and Australia
  • Local representative teams
  • The MCC

The Duchess XI host the MCC annually and have done since 2010.

The day culminates in a magnificent MCC dinner at Belvoir Castle hosted by Her Grace The Duchess of Rutland.

AIMS

The purpose of the Duchess of Rutland XI is to: Build profile and raise funds for the Belvoir Cricket & Countryside Trust

  • Interact with high-level contacts in the cricketing world – MCC, Bradman Foundation, Arundel Castle, etc
  • Provide “East Midlands Representative” matches for young players against international opposition
  • Encourage and reward BCCT supporters and volunteers
