As we write this 6 volunteers from Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust are on their way to Uganda with Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB) and are currently savouring the delights of breakfast in Addis Ababa during their 3 hour stopover at the Ethiopian Airport. Claire Marris, Neil Atkins, Martin James, Darren Bicknell, Phil O’Brein and Ken Kirk set off from Heathrow at 8 o’clock last night. Redmile Primary School has donated money towards widening children’s experiences in Uganda by teaching them to play cricket.
Redmile Primary School’s council handed over a cheque for £72.55, which was raised at the school’s Christmas raffle, to Darren Bicknell of the Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust.
