Trust Volunteers head for Uganda and Botswana

As we write this 6 volunteers from Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust are on their way to Uganda with Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB) and are currently savouring the delights of breakfast in Addis Ababa during their 3 hour stopover at the Ethiopian Airport.  Claire Marris, Neil Atkins, Martin James, Darren Bicknell, Phil O’Brein and Ken Kirk set off from Heathrow at 8 o’clock last night. If you would like to hear more about the group’s travels Phil will be blogging at Uganda2012 or you can follow them on twitter – @CWB_UgandaCM and @philobr and @darrenbicknell.… Read more

Charity bowled over by gift

Redmile Primary School has donated money towards widening children’s experiences in Uganda by teaching them to play cricket. Redmile Primary School’s council handed over a cheque for £72.55, which was raised at the school’s Christmas raffle, to Darren Bicknell of the Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust.
